Six people, two of them children, were killed Tuesday when a school bus was struck by a remote-controlled bomb in northwestern Pakistan, authorities said.
The dead included a 5-year-old boy; a 7-year-old girl; three teachers and a bus driver, according to Sohail Khan, an official with Bajaur agency, the region in which the attack occurred.

The bus was part of a local education organization funded by the Dutch education ministry.
Bajaur is one of the semi-autonomous districts that make up northwestern Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
